This is a blog created as assessment for Felicity Colman’s subject, World Screen: Aesthetics and Politics. Hopefully what the blog lacks in insight it makes up for in effort. Feel free to leave angry comments.
Oh yeah, and about me: My name is Brad Nguyen. I’m a third year Arts/Law student. I like movies. Especially good ones. They’re my favourite. I will from time to time see a movie that I know I’ll hate because I have a bit of a masochist in me. Good example: David Lynch’s Inland Freakin’ Empire. Again, feel free to leave angry comments.

“Lacks in insight”? Don’t be so self-deprecating! I found your blog to be really perceptive. Well done!

Hey Brad, I dig your site, thanks for posting the Guevara clip. I study transmodern theory, Aesthetics & Politics play a major role. Its crazy how three thousand years later, society is still wrestling with the fundamental concepts of Aristotle! There much revolutionary theory on my blog. Also there’s a couple valuable textbooks posted here: http://transmodernism.wordpress.com/
Watched Strangers on a Train last night… FANTASTIC!

Brad,
I will be reading through your stuff with interest. It seems to me – having searched quite a bit over the past few days – that a blog that seriously tries to get to grips with some serious theory is a rare thing. I am starting to try to do the same, although without being able to connect it so well to the fun bits of pop culture.
